Serge BAROTEAUX
Serge BAROTEAUX est né le 12 novembre 1952 à Tours. Des l’âge de 4 ans, il commence ses premiers modelages. A 13 ans il entre dans le cours de dessin de Mr Davidson. Il étudie ensuite la sculpture aux beaux-arts de Tours dans l’atelier de Mme Paule Couteau (Grand Prix de Rome) et poursuit ses études de dessin avec Jean Abadie. A 25 ans, des commandes de sculptures ornementales sur meubles lui sont confiées. Il effectue en 1980 ses premières médailles pour le compte d’un fabriquant Saumurois pour le quel il travaillera en indépendant 18 ans. En 1993 il enseigne la sculpture et le dessin en poursuivant son travail de médailles et statuaire. Depuis 1999 Il se consacre exclusivement a sa quête artistique.

At the age of thirteen, admitted to Mr Davidson’s drawing studio. Following that he studied at the Tours Art School in Mme Paule Couteau’s studio ( Rome Grand Prix) and pursued his studies with Jean Abadie. When he was 25, he was commissioned for ornamental furniture sculptures. In 1980, he made his first medals for Saumurois who he worked for independently for 18 years.
In 1993, he taught drawing and continued his medal and statue works. Since 1999, he has been devoted exclusively to his artistic works.

Serge Baroteaux nació el 12 de noviembre de 1952 en Tours. Desde la edad de los 4, empieza sus primeros modelados. A los 13 ingresa en las clases de dibujo de Mr Davidson. Después estudia la escultura en las Bellas-Artes de Tours en el taller de la Señora Paule Couteau (gran Premio de Roma) y sigue sus estudios de dibujo con Jean Abadie. A los 25 años, se le manda un pedido de esculturas ornamentales sobre muebles. Efectúa en 1980 sus primeras medallas para el cuento de un fabricante de Saumur para el cual trabajará como independiente durante 18 años. En 1993 mientras enseña la escultura y el dibujo sigue su trabajo sobre medalla y estatuas. Desde 1999 se dedica únicamente a su búsqueda artística.
